We know Michelangelo as sculptor and painter, but he also authored some 300 sonnets. The great Rainer Maria Rilke set to translating the sonnets, assembling a collection of 24, from which Rihm has chosen three to set to baritone voice. Composed and premiered in 2013. For advanced performers.
